How to sync a private ESPN fantasy league (no password needed)
You can sync a private ESPN fantasy football league without giving anyone your password. Paste your ESPN league link or league ID into the box on Manage My Team. If the league is private, on a phone you upload a screenshot of your ESPN roster, which is read on your phone and never uploaded. On a computer you click the “Sync to Alpha AI” bookmark on your ESPN team page while signed in. Only roster data is used, and no cookies are stored.
Steps
Open Manage My Team. Go to thealphaai.com/manage-team and paste your ESPN league link, team link or league ID into the single box, then tap Connect your league.
Let it detect a private league. If ESPN says the league is private, the page switches to the private-league path automatically. It is not an error.
On a phone: upload a roster screenshot. In the ESPN app, open My Team and take a screenshot. Tap Upload a roster screenshot and choose it. The picture is read on your phone and never uploaded. Check the player list, then save your team.
On a computer: use the Sync to Alpha AI bookmark. Drag Sync to Alpha AI to your bookmarks bar, open your team on fantasy.espn.com while signed in (Google, Apple, Facebook or email all work), and click the bookmark. Only your roster is sent back to your browser.
Get your report. Your roster opens on Manage My Team with injury, bye and start/sit flags first. It is saved in this browser, so next time it opens straight to your team.
How do I connect a private ESPN fantasy league without my password?
Paste your league link or ID on Manage My Team. For a private league, upload a screenshot of your ESPN roster on a phone, or use the Sync to Alpha AI bookmark on your signed-in ESPN team page on a computer. We never ask for your ESPN password.
Is it safe? Do you store my ESPN cookies?
No cookies or ESPN session values are stored. A screenshot is read on your device and never uploaded. The bookmark sends only roster data back to your own browser.
I sign in to ESPN with Google or Apple. Can I still sync?
Yes. The screenshot works however you sign in, and the bookmark uses your existing ESPN session in the browser.
Where do I find my ESPN fantasy league ID?
In your league's web address on fantasy.espn.com: the number after leagueId=. You can paste the whole link instead.
Why does my ESPN league say it is private?
ESPN leagues are private unless the commissioner makes them viewable to the public. Private leagues use the screenshot or the bookmark.
